Located just east of the Pompidou Center along one of the Marais' narrow streets, the Hotel Beaubourg offers quality three-star accommodation at prices that won't shock. Cheapo it isn't, but if you're willing to pay a bit more for a beautiful room, the Beaubourg would be a reliable choice.
The Beaubourg has 28 spacious guestrooms, each well appointed and very clean, boasting an "old Paris" décor. Nearly all rooms have exposed wooden beams, decorative fabric wall coverings, and framed prints of Parisian scenes. Rooms are equipped with flat-screen cable TVs and telephones.
Spot-lit bathrooms have white and blue tiling, sizable marble sinks, and ornate gold mirrors. All but four baths have tub/shower combos (the others have only showers).
Half of the rooms look over the plant and flower-filled inner courtyard and are the quietest. The others look to the street, although double-paned glass keeps the noise down. The most expensive room (€150) is a ground-floor room with its own private patio terrace and spacious seating area.
Wifi access is free, but only works in the reception area. However, a computer terminal is provided for guests to use. Breakfast (for €9) is served in the beautifully restored stone cellar (a sort of photogenic cave).
