Planted at the quiet end of the rue de l'Exposition, the Hôtel de la Tour Eiffel is a two-star charmer with 24 reasonably priced rooms near the Eiffel Tower, the Champ de Mars and the bustling market-lined Rue Cler.
Pros: Rooms with cute décor. Great location near the Eiffel Tower and Rue Cler. Friendly staff.
Cons: Rooms and baths can be tight.
The likeable Hotel de la Tour Eiffel is located, quite obviously, very near the big tower— less than a five-minute walk from the park surrounding the tower, to be more precise. It’s situated on Rue de l’Exposition, a charming narrow street lined with small shops and offices.
The hotel’s lobby is smartly dressed, with fresh-cut flowers, black leather club chairs, and shelves of thick red books.
Upstairs, the guest room décor is a unique meshing of traditional and whimsical. Framed mirrors and photographs accessorize the walls, while handmade, candy-colored chandeliers add Venetian charm. Rooms were renovated in 2012 and are equipped with a telephone, flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi.
Newly renovated bathrooms are teeny-tiny but very clean, with both showers and bathtubs.
Aside from the famous nearby tour, er “tower,” two blocks away is the famous Rue Cler, a market street that buzzes with small merchants selling their cheeses, wines, meats, baguettes, and more. There are innumerable options for eating and drinking.
Overall, the area is very safe, quiet and calm and night—which means that you’ll probably head elsewhere in the evening to find activities.

About the Hotel de la Tour Eiffel neighborhood
Many of the surrounding streets offer up storybook views of the Eiffel Tower, still the tallest building in Paris. Another striking monument is the 18-carat-gold dome of the Invalides, that glimmers along the Seine's left bank, just east of the Eiffel Tower. Notable museums include the Musée d'Orsay, the Musée Rodin and the Musée du Quai Branly.
