Planted at the quiet end of the rue de l'Exposition, the Hôtel de la Tour Eiffel is a two-star charmer with 24 reasonably priced rooms near the Eiffel Tower, the Champ de Mars and the bustling market-lined Rue Cler.

Rooms
The décor in each unique room is a cool meshing of traditional and whimsical. Framed mirrors and photographs accessorize the walls, while handmade, candy-colored chandeliers add Venetian charm. Though they are equipped with a telephone and flat-screen TV, the rooms in the historic building could use some updating. Happily, renovations are in the works (stay tuned).
Bathrooms are teeny-tiny but very clean, with both showers and bathtubs.
Hotel
Downstairs, the Hotel de la Tour Eiffel's lobby is smartly dressed, with fresh-cut flowers, black leather club chairs, and shelves of thick red books.
Free Wi-Fi has been installed, but the connection is slow and spotty at times. There is also a free computer terminal in the lobby. Note that the hotel is not air conditioned, although there are fans available upon request.
Location
The Hotel de la Tour Eiffel is located, quite obviously, very near the big tower— less than a five-minute walk from the park surrounding the tower, to be more precise. It’s situated on Rue de l’Exposition, a charming narrow street lined with small shops and offices.
Two blocks away is the famous Rue Cler, a market street that buzzes with small merchants selling their cheeses, wines, meats, baguettes, and more. Overall, the area is very safe, quiet and calm and night—which means that you’ll probably head elsewhere in the evening to find activities.
Metro: The Hotel de la Tour Eiffel is located less than five minutes from the École Militaire Metro station, serving line 8.

About the Hotel de la Tour Eiffel neighborhood
The Left Bank neighborhood surrounding the Eiffel Tower in the 7th arrondissement boasts wide, tree-lined boulevards, ritzy apartments and many foreign embassies and government buildings. Small pockets of cafés and shops around the Rue Cler and Rue du Bac add storybook Paris atmosphere. This neighborhood is a short Metro ride to most major sights.
