Although a bit on the pricey side, the Hotel Les Argonautes is cheap compared to the prices of just about everything else in what is arguably the most beautiful area in Paris.
The hotel is decorated with a young, hip clientele in mind. Freshly painted walls and repro artwork create warm ambiance—far from the chaos of the winding streets below. Wood-beamed ceilings and a charming entrance stand out from the otherwise mostly modern decor.
Rooms are modest and modern, practical yet warm. Though some rooms have shared toilets in the hall, all come with at least a private shower. The Safari themed café-lounge is decorated with African masks, elephant tusks, and even Australian didjeridoos.
The hotel is in walking distance of several major Parisian must-sees, including Notre Dame and the Seine. Breakfast will cost you an additional €5, but the Wi-Fi is free.
