Located on the eastern border of the Marais, this 1920s hotel is just a few steps from the popular student hangouts of the Place de la Bastille. It still has an old-fashioned air about it even though renovations in 2006 included the addition of air conditioning and Wi-Fi Internet access.
Rooms are surprisingly spacious and well-insulated from the busy boulevard outside, with modern wooden furnishings and red or blue color schemes. Bathrooms are also spacious and spotlessly clean, many with separate toilets.
This is a great location for making the most of the city’s nightlife scene in the Marais, Bastille, and Oberkampf districts. And the low prices for roomy triples and quads make it more reasonable than staying in a youth hostel.
