Hôtel Malar's owner, Myléne Caill, spends much of her time welcoming returning visitors back to her cozy and charming inn. They come back because it's moderately priced, friendly, and ideally situated on the picturesque Rue Malar, three blocks east of the Eiffel Tower. This is the kind of hotel where you know the owner and where she's genuinely glad to see you.
As for the 22 rooms, they're perfectly fine, benefiting from fresh carpets and clean bathrooms, wood and rattan furnishings, and colorful fabrics. Some are in a second building off the courtyard, although we certainly prefer (and suggest) those in the front building, as they're older, more charming, and brighter. There’s no elevator, but ground-floor rooms are available for those who want to avoid stairs.
