Calling all shopaholics and opera-maniacs! The Peletier Haussmann Hotel provides 26 comfortable, two-star rooms with a nice range of amenities in the center of the chic Opera shopping district.

Rooms at the Peletier Haussmann are of a size typical for Paris hotels (that is to say, not terribly spacious, but not the smallest we’ve seen either). Décor is pleasing and unsurprising, and includes large prints, striped wallpaper and some colorful bedding. Rooms are well-equipped with a minibar, satellite TV and free Wi-Fi access. All rooms facing the street are equipped with bathtubs and double-glazed windows for soundproofing.

Bathrooms have sparkling white tiles and a hair dryer and are available with either a bath or shower (ask when reserving).

Downstairs, the lobby's exposed stone walls, wood-beamed ceiling and track-lighting create a cozy ambiance. Free Wi-Fi, a friendly staff, and a reasonable €6 breakfast make the Peletier a worthy cheapo.

At a five-minute walk to the Opera, the hotel is ideally located for those planning to hit the big department stores or frequent the opera. The hotel’s proximity to the Opera also makes it convenient for catching a bus to or from the airport.

Note: The hotel does have an elevator, but it’s comically small. Seriously, guests regularly take photos of it to amuse the folks back home.
