The two-star Hotel Prince offers moderately-priced rooms along an elegant, tree-lined avenue one block from the Eiffel Tower. It's a convenient spot, with the Ecole Militaire Métro station just across the street and a Parisian wine bistro right next door.
Pros:Charming, convenient location. Comfortable. Some rooms have balconies.
Cons: Plain decor. Small bathrooms.
The Prince's 30 rooms sport fresh green carpeting, floral bedspreads, modern furniture and exposed stone walls. Rooms on the second, third and fifth floors have balconies overlooking the street. Bathrooms in the singles and smaller doubles can be quite cramped. If you need extra space, be sure to ask for the larger rooms with bathtub.
Prime location and safe neighborhood aside, this two-star hotel manages to be comfortable, but not charming. However, the hotel does offer some helpful amenities such as an elevator, air conditioning and double-paned windows.
The cold buffet breakfast is a steep €10, but you can always wander down to the cafés of the neighboring Rue Cler for heartier (and cheaper) fare.
