Located just north of the Bourse, (Paris's stock exchange) and about 10 minutes by foot from the Louvre, the two-star Hotel Vivienne provides a fashionable "boutique-hotel" lobby, along with 45 original rooms.
Rooms at the Vivienne come in many shapes, sizes, and personalities. The individual touches can be felt in each renovated room. The décor is well-calculated, with floral wallpaper, bedding, curtains, and artwork all complimenting each other nicely. While some offer modern touches, other rooms offer more classic, colonial-style furnishings. Rooms with balconies have lovely blooming flowers but don't offer much privacy, as they look out onto the busy rue Vivienne.
Be sure to ask Alain, the helpful, multilingual concierge, for a room with a terrace. Although there is a lot of business traveler clientele, the Vivienne is a family-friendly hotel, and children under the age of 10 sleep for free.
