The 34-room Regents Hotel, just steps away from the Luxembourg gardens, offers Cheapo prices, views of the Eiffel Tower, and a large, calm courtyard. That being said, this is no five-star hotel. Rooms are in need of some freshening up, and the "view" of the Eiffel Tower reveals only a peak.
During warm months, breakfast is served in the spacious courtyard, a REAL luxury, especially during hot Parisian summers.
The rooms, although far from spectacular, get the job done. They are medium to large and the bathrooms are nice and clean. Nevertheless the rooms' wallpaper is showing its age and needs to be scrubbed clean or just replaced. Small paintings would also do wonders for the 34 chambres.
The jewels of the Regents Hotel are the balconied rooms on the top floor. Equipped with lounge chairs and little tables it is from here that guests get a glimpse of the famous tower. But with only the top visible, it looks more like a cell phone tower than a grand feat of engineering.
