Cheap hotels near Oberkampf in Paris, France

If you’re looking for nightlife in Paris, you’d do well to check out Oberkampf - the neighborhood surrounding rue Oberkampf in the 11th arrondissement. Originating between Bastille and Republique and running east, the rue Oberkampf and its side streets make up one of the livelier districts in Paris.

Filled with bars, clubs and cafes, as well as art galleries and concert venues, the district’s spirited, up-and-coming vibe can feel miles away from the old-world stuffiness found in some parts of Paris. While many neighborhoods in the city shut down after dark, Oberkampf remains buzzing into the wee hours of the morning.

If you stay on the western side of Oberkampf, you’ll be within walking distance of some popular sights in Paris, such as the Bastille, the Canal Saint-Martin and the quaint streets of the Marais. Farther east, though, is a bit far-flung and, aside from Père-Lachaise, doesn’t offer much in the way of popular attractions.
