Sant'Antonio is a convenient neighborhood that sits southwest of city center. The 14th-century Palazzo Gambacorti now functions as Pisa's town hall. The main train and inter-city bus stations are on the south end of the quarter.
The Leaning Tower, the Baptistry and the Cemetery, and other main sights of Piazza dei Miracoli, are about a mile north of Sant'Antonio. The city's university is just across the River Arno via Ponto Solferino.
