Barbara Stranska runs the professional 35-bed Klub Habitat hostel. She makes sure the place is very clean—good news for everyone but slobs!
The hostel's well-kept rooms sleep four to eight people. Walls are painted bright colors, and doors are as thick and heavy as the walls. Furniture could pass for direct imports from your local grammar school, though the scene is less schoolhouse and more party animal.
The Klub Habitat is popular with backpackers, students, and bargain hunters. Reception is open around the clock. Linens and breakfast are included in the price, along with free lemonade. Woo hoo! From the Klub Habitat, it's a 15-minute walk to Old Town Square and a 10-minute walk to Wenceslas Square.

About the Klub Habitat Hostel neighborhood
Nove Mesto means "new town" in Czech. Prague's business district surrounds Stare Mesto on its eastern and southern borders. The area has plenty of sightseeing draws. Home to the famed Wenceslas Square as well as the National Museum, the neighborhood is less than 20 minutes from Old Town Square by subway or tram.
