Cheap hotels near St. Nicholas Cathedral in Prague, Czech Republic
The stately St. Nicholas Cathedral presides over the Malostranské náměstí square in Lesser Town. Built between 1704-1755 by the architect Christoph Dientzenhofer and his son, Kilian, the cathedral is considered a premiere example of the Baroque style. With its soaring clock tower and massive organs (once played by Mozart), the cathedral today is a popular attraction.
This cathedral is actually one of three "St. Nicholas" churches in Prague, and Kilian Dientzenhofer is also responsible for the version that resides in Old Town Square.
St. Nicholas is open to visitors daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is CZK 70 (CZK 50 reduced).
