It's a true sister act at the Hotel Pensione Joli. Sisters Gabriella, Alessandra, and Silvia run a cozy, if a bit shabby, 18-room hotel right on Prati's hot shopping strip, Cola di Rienzo.
Positioned on the top-floor, this hotel lets in plenty of light—a good thing since rooms would otherwise be dimly lit. Views are fantastic as well, although those facing the courtyard are cooler and quieter.
The Joli's décor leaves a lot to be desired: blue striped bedding is mixed with rose patterned wallpaper and budget parquet. Armoires and shelf space are fortunately plentiful. Bathrooms are rather stark, with basic toiletries and all the essentials (excluding the shower curtain).
Gabriella's pretty daughter, Giulia, takes care of international guests in English, Spanish, and German. She'll also take care of the kiddies for around €12 per hour.
