Papa Germano offers all that we like in a true budget pick: clean rooms, sturdy furniture, convenient services, and, most of all, personality plus; Papa is about as jolly a guy as we could ask for.
The Germano's entrance is not grand—just some small breakfast tables and an Internet station. It almost looks like a hostel, which wouldn't be too far off, as they do offer dorm-style accommodations (max four persons per room) in addition to regular rooms. The hotel has been around since 1969, but renovations have kept appearances fresh. Rooms have simple furniture and basic decor. But nice perks, such as a minibar, Satellite TV, and Internet access in all the rooms, make them very comfy.
Papa Germano has single rooms on up through quads. Singles come with shared toilets only, but the rest can be had en suite. However, sharing a shower will save you about €20 a night.
