The no-frills but friendly Hotel Papa Germano is located on a quiet little side street where a market takes place every weekday morning. With its great location (just a short walk from Termini Station), helpful service and low prices, the Papa Germano is a solid choice for budget travelers.
The 17 non-smoking rooms are situated on two floors and are a mix of private, shared and dorm-style accommodation. The décor in the rooms is best described as “tired retro,” with plenty of cream tones. The bathrooms, in contrast, are sparklingly modern and have toiletries. All rooms have air-conditioning.
The Hotel Papa Germano offers free Wi-Fi access throughout the property. (There is also a free Internet station just next to the breakfast room.) The hotel is surrounded by coffee bars, restaurants, supermarkets and laundry facilities. The historic center is a 10-minute bus ride (or a 30-minute walk) away.
Note: Breakfast is included. There are no wheelchair-accessible facilities at this hotel. You will also find several “adult” entertainment choices around this area in the late evening, so don’t forget to pack an open mind along with your guide book.

About the Hotel Pensione Papa Germano neighborhood
The largely residential area north of Stazione Centrale Termini is both convenient and affordable. Trains heading to Fumincino airport and across Italy depart from this massive station, the front of which is also a major bus and metro stop. Although not the most picturesque neighborhood in central Rome, lots of hotel competition can often mean good rates. The area is always crowded and sometimes a little seedy.
