The Hotel Suisse is located on the third floor of a historic palazzo, just a few steps from the Piazza Spagna and the designer shops of Via Condotti. The three-star hotel has remained in the same family for three generations and has operated for more than 100 years. These days, it’s in the capable hands of Signora Dora.

The 12 rooms at the Hotel Suisse vary in size and have original parquet flooring, wooden furniture and cream-colored walls. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a TV, telephone and free Wi-Fi. The rooms overlooking the internal, tree-filled courtyard are likely the quietest, and three rooms have balconies (ask ahead).

The private bathrooms are minuscule but spotless and provide toiletries and a hair dryer.

Breakfast, included in the room rate, is served in the guest rooms, as there is no common eating area. However, there is a bar where you can order tea, coffee and soft drinks.

The nearby Metro Linea A offers good connections to Termini Station, the Vatican and the Colosseum.
