Just try to beat this clean and cozy hotel for value, comfort and charm. Situated in a quiet residential area, the Pensione Paradise is just minutes from the Lepanto metro stop and a short stroll from the Vatican. Inside, you'll find a tasteful blend of antiques and antique-inspired furnishings. Plus, the Paradise is notable for its cleanliness.
High ceilings make rooms appear more spacious. (The large windows don't hurt, either.) Even the single room without a private bath scores big points for a rustic tiled sink and beautiful mounted mirror. Our favorite touch was the bedside radio control switch! And the multinational, multilingual staff couldn't be more pleasant.

About the Pensione Paradise neighborhood
Located across the Tiber River, the Vatican and Prati are unquestionably majestic. St. Peter's Basilica is the focal point of the Vatican, which is the world's only neighborhood that's also a nation. The Vatican and Prati area is pleasant, with tree-lined streets, wide boulevards, and newer buildings. This is a great area to stay, as hotel rates are often lower, hotel rooms bigger, and nights quieter than in other Roman neighborhoods. The area is two stops on the subway from Piazza di Spagna.
