Ah, the things money can buy! There sure are a lot of them at Alstadthotel Wolf-Dietrich, a four-star Right Bank hotel complete with huge spa and sauna, indoor pool, free DVDs, and Wi-Fi. It's definitely a splurge, but you get a lot for your euro, including a deluxe feel and proximity to major Right Bank attractions.

The Wolf-Dietrich's 40 rooms are carpeted and sport floral furnishings. The walls, bedding and gauzy curtains come in pale, soft color tones. Dark wooden furniture and comfy chairs and couches round out the look. All rooms have cable TV, soundproofed windows and a minibar. Some of the bathrooms have enormous Jacuzzi-like tubs with swirling, Milky-Way shaped lights above.

Rooms look onto either the backyard or Wolf-Dietrich-Strasse out front. There's a free Internet station and a bar in the lobby, as well as laundry services. If you hate stairs, make sure you stay in the main building, as the hotel's annex across the street has no elevator. Smoking is only permitted in the lobby.
