The Oasis Backpackers' Hostel was one of the last places we checked out in Seville. We left regretting we couldn't spend more time there, as it's by far the most fun accommodation you'll find for your money.
The hostel, which just moved to a new location, sits right on top of bustling Plaza Encarnación. The place teems with hip 20- and 30-something travelers enjoying state-of-the-art facilities including a kitchen, grill, Jacuzzi, and Internet stations. We loved the rooftop porch swing, the cityscape view, and the exposed-brick façade next door.
Most rooms are dorm-style with bunk beds: 54 beds are distributed between nine rooms, only one of which is a double. Tote your own towel because towels are not included.
The hostel throws parties three times a week. The in-house cook whips up a two-course dinner for anyone who wants free chow or a gratis glass of Sangria. Afterwards the hostel staff leads a group to a flamenco show, or in our case, a whacked-out bar where the the house's specialty drink is called the "Blood of Jesus Christ." Other group endeavors include trips to the flea market and tapas bars.

About the Oasis Backpacker's Hostel neighborhood
Centro is, not surprisingly, Seville's hub. Plazas San Francisco and Nueva anchor the neighborhood. Shopping streets, churches, museums, restaurants, cafes, and boutiques are plentiful. One highlight is the Museo de Bellas Artes—or Fine Arts Museum—with its outstanding collection of the works of Murillo, Valdés Leal, Zurbarán, and other Sevillean masters. For visitors who must feel as if they're at the center of the action, El Centro is the place to be. Because it's so in demand, it's also not cheap. Hotels, hostals, and restaurants are all a bit more expensive in El Centro. Other hallmarks: loud cathedral bells, an absence of Internet cafés, and the obligatory Starbucks.
