Hotel Haga, on the edge of Vasastaden, can just barely be considered a central city hotel. Because it represents a great value and is a short distance from the Stadion metro station (and from there, just minutes to the center of the city), we're including it in our Stockholm hotel listings.
Quite modern, even institutional, in feel, Hotel Haga inhabits a big block structure. A folksy touch here (shelves of well-worn books for borrowing) and a flashy touch there (1980s mirrored stairs) rescue it from complete anonymity. The 38 rooms are spotlessly clean, if a bit worn. Furniture is less inspired than functional.
The clientele is the standard business/tourist mix, with a good share of domestic Swedish visitors.
