Still haven't found a hotel that floats your boat? The 29-room LogInn Hotel, one of several boat-hotels on the northern edge of S?malm, is a solid option, particularly for those who would like a little ambiance and aren't into sharing bathrooms with their neighbors.
Rooms, as on most boats, are on the small side, as are the bathrooms -- turn around and you're on the other side! The decor is plain, and the furniture is simple. But the LogInn's 29 cheerful rooms all have en suite bathrooms and nice bedding. Cheaper rooms have smaller beds: either twin-sized bunks or double-size mattresses (120 cm).
The LogInn's common areas have a playful nautical ambience, without overdoing the anchor motif. The spacious bar, lounge, and restaurant are inviting hangouts, making up for somewhat cramped quarters below. The lounge has a wooden bar stocked with plenty of beers in bottles and on tap. And the restaurant, which offers "typical Swedish cuisine," serves lunch and dinner. There's also an outside deck with faux ivy, colored stage lights, and picnic tables. On Friday and Saturday nights (during the summer), there's often live entertainment consisting of cover bands performing their takes on old pop songs.
