The Pensionat Oden Vasastan, situated in a bit north of the action, is the smallest of the three hotels in the Pensionat Oden mini-chain, which also includes the Pensionat Oden City and the Pensionat Oden Sodermalm. What sets the Vasastan apart from its siblings, other than size, is that all the rooms share toilets and showers in the hall. In addition, the included breakfast is served outside the pension at a coffee shop across the street.
Attractive rooms are done up in classic Century style with 19th-century inspired furnishings and wallpaper. Pleasant lighting adds to the ambience. However, don't expect hotel-like services: reception hours are limited, and there's no concierge. But rooms are clean and spacious with good mattresses, and bathrooms are tidy.
