Very possibly Stockholm's most unusual hotel, Vanadis Hotell och Bad is a converted bathing facility turned hotel. In terms of location, Vanadis is well served by public transportation, located just a few minutes from Odenplan. With 67 small uniform rooms and a public pool attached, Vanadis is a quirky budget option. Dive in!
The hotel's rooms were previously used as changing rooms. As you might expect, these rooms are both very tiny and spartan, with rich dark blue bedcovers and little else in the way of decoration.
Many of the rooms at Vanadis share bathroom facilities and have no windows. These are the cheapest option, but if a cavelike environment is not to your liking, be sure to request a room with a window—which stills works out to be one of the cheapest sleeps in Stockholm.

About the Vanadis Hotell neighborhood
Busy and hectic, Norrmalm is the beating heart of today's Stockholm. Characterized by Stockholm's lively Central Station and a slew of tourist draws, the 'hood also has retail shops, department stores, city parks and—to the south on an island—the Parliament. The majority of the crowds here are residents.
