Ca' Del Dose

Situated in a primo location just a short walk from San Marco, the cozy Ca’ Del Dose is a real DIY operation. The inn offers a mix of private rooms and apartments, with not much service to speak of. Still, it’s clean, comfortable and affordable, especially for this area.

Rooms

Each of the Ca' Del Dose's six guest rooms is named for a famous Venetian doge (a former chief magistrate). Décor is standard yet classic, with hardwood floors, Murano glass lamps and wooden headboards carved to resemble St. Mark’s Basilica.

All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and a television. Rooms overlook the neighboring rooftops and flower boxes, and some offer a small terrace.

The Ca’ Del Dose also offers a few apartments, located in a separate building. These contain a living room and one to four bedrooms, plus a full kitchen.

Bathrooms

The private bathrooms are a bit on the “sea cabin” side, but they are clean and functional. A hair dryer and toiletries are provided.

Hotel

The Ca’ Del Dose does not have much common space, but rooms are thoughtfully equipped with snacks, coffee and an electric tea kettle. Reception hours are limited, and guests are asked to communicate their arrival time in advance.

Breakfast is not offered. Wi-Fi is available in the public areas and some (but not all) hotel rooms for an additional charge. Note that Wi-Fi is not available in the apartments, and none of the buildings has an elevator.
