Hotel Bernardi Semenzato

The Hotel Bernardi Semenzato is a family-run operation, conveniently situated on the border of Cannareggio and San Marco, minutes from the Rialto Bridge. Maria Teresa and her husband Leonardo have raised the Bernardi Semenzato like a child. And with the two-star property’s 13th-century foundations and an early 19th-century expansion, that's a lot of tender loving care!

Rooms

The Hotel Bernardi Semenzato’s entrance is cozy and packed with artwork and opera posters, and its 16 guest rooms are done up in fabulous antiques. They feature parquet floors, gilded mirrors and wood-beamed ceilings, as well as artful additions like Murano glass lamps and artwork by talented family friends.

Twelve of the Bernardi Semenzato’s guest rooms are located in the annex. These rooms, attractively outfitted with classic Venetian furnishings, open to the building’s garden and are quite a bit fancier than those back in the main hotel.

All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a TV, safe and phone.

Bathrooms

Bathrooms, both shared and private, have been refurbished and include hand-painted tile work. All rooms offer a hair dryer.

Hotel

A small rooftop terrace offers postcard-perfect views of the neighborhood, and is a perfect spot for a summertime aperitivo.

Breakfast is sometimes included in the room rate (check when booking), and Wi-Fi is free throughout. Note that the hotel does not have an elevator.
