The Hotel Minerva & Nettuno is a one-star pick, offering a range of accommodation options along the Tera Lista di Spagna, minutes from the train station.

The 30-room hotel caters to a variety of travelers and budgets. As the owner Nemo explained it: The more euros you shell out, the more amenities await you. Nemo speaks the truth!

Super-cheapo rooms at the Minerva & Nettuno are equipped with basic wooden furniture, a sink and a fan, and rates reflect this modesty. Most rooms, however, are equipped with a private bath sporting a distinct ‘70s look (beige tile alert!). These rooms also have a healthy dose of charm, with paintings hanging on the walls, Murano-style chandeliers and some attractive carved wooden furniture. They’re also equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV and a telephone.

Things get fancier in the annex across the street. These warm and elegant rooms have wood-beamed ceilings, Venetian-tiled floors, velvet headboards and a touch of “old English parlor.” These rooms, all equipped with private bath, run for a maximum of €110 per double in high season (which is still not off the Cheapo charts).
