You may be visiting Venice, but when you’re inside the Hotel S. Lucia, you might just feel like you’re in Florida. Arrivederci, Venetian design!
Located a five-minute stroll from the Santa Lucia train station, and just down a palm-tree-lined alleyway, this 15-room hotel is modern and convenient. Emilia and her son Gian'angelo run the one-star hotel with care. Marble floors glimmer throughout the reception and corridors.
Rooms are simple and spacious with sunny yellow bedspreads and plenty of natural light. All are air conditioned and equipped with a TV and telephone. Despite being over 40 years old, bathrooms and floor tiles are shiny and white. 10 rooms have private bath, while five cheaper rooms share facilities, although they have their own sink.
Breakfast is offered at the Santa Lucia for €5. In good weather, you can have breakfast or an afternoon refresher in the lush garden. The cozy breakfast nook takes its place during colder months.

About the Hotel Santa Lucia neighborhood
Situated north and west of the train station, Cannaregio provides some of the city's cheapest sleeps and eats. It's the most navigable "sestiere" in the city and by far the most convenient area from which to explore Venice. Adjacent to the train station on one end and bordering San Marco at the Rialto Bridge on the other, here you’ll find the Jewish Ghetto and some of Venice’s finest palaces, among them the breathtaking Ca d’ Oro.
