Busy Piazzale Roma is home to the city’s bus station and main parking area. As motor vehicles obviously can’t get very far in this canal-crossed city, almost everything with four wheels gets parked here in Santa Croce.
Airport shuttles and taxis depart from and arrive at Piazzale Roma. It’s also the site of Venice’s new People Mover (launched in 2010). Tourists can pick up local or more far-reaching ACTV buses.
