The Scuola Grande di San Rocco, located in the San Polo neighborhood of Venice, was established in 1478 by a group of wealthy Venetian citizens. It’s best known for its extensive collection of art and for the adjacent Catholic church of the same name.
Marked by Corinthian columns and a limestone facade, the school’s main rooms house impressive murals by Tintoretto as well as paintings by Titian. Next door at the Church of San Rocco, the relics of Saint Roch are on display.
