If you want more than just a place to crash each night, the Serennia Exclusive Rooms offer charming guestrooms packed with amenities in a location that offers easy access to Plaça Catalunya and the metro.

The rooms here are quite modern and beautiful, with a neutral color palette and pretty design features. We especially love the intricate headboards and tiled ceiling details — it is certainly a beautiful space to wake up to each morning! Some rooms also have balconies, which is a good choice if you are okay with spending a bit more.

There is no skimping on amenities here. You’ll find all the creature comforts, from air conditioning and absolutely sparkling private bathrooms to flat-screen televisions and free Wi-Fi.

The shared lounge space and lobby are just as lovely as the rooms.

Eixample

Classier and newer than the Gothic Quarter, the Eixample (pronounced "uh-SHAHM-pluh") is located just north of El Raval and Barri Gotic. It's home to the Barcelona's most expensive shopping, swankiest residences and best examples of Catalonian Modernist architecture.

The Eixample's 19th-Century building facades, with their wild ornamentation and extreme Art Nouveau flair, are some of the most photographed in Europe. Antoni Gaudí, Barcelona's most famous architect, is represented everywhere here—from fabulous apartment buildings to his world-famous Sagrada Familia cathedral.
