Hotel Accademia

The three-star Hotel Accademia is a solid choice near the San Lorenzo market and Medici Chapel. With spacious, recently upgraded rooms, stained-glass details and comfortable common areas, it makes a reliable home base.

The rooms are done up with simple, white furniture and crisp white bedding. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, minibar, satellite television and free Wi-Fi. En suite bathrooms are clean and modern, with marble tiles. Some have new showers, while others have a combination tub and shower.

The Accademia is located on the busy pedestrian street Via Faenza, but retains a sense of quiet inside. The plant-filled entry is almost an indoor courtyard, marked by a winding staircase that leads up to the stained-glass doors of the second-floor reception. Additional charming spaces include small sitting areas, an internal terrace and a spacious breakfast room. The Accademia also has a quiet, old-fashioned bar that serves coffee and alcoholic beverages.

Breakfast is included in the rate. Note that the hotel is located on the second floor and does not have an elevator.

With recent renovations, the hotel's rates have increased. However, you can still find deals throughout the year if you book early.
