Bonfim is located east of Porto's historical center. The central Se Catedral (also known as Porto Cathedral) is an uphill walk from Bonfim's 24 de Agosto metro stop. Rua Formosa jets out from the same stop and offers many bars and restaurants. Jardins de Nova Sintra is in the neighborhood south of the Heroismo metro stop near the Rio Duoro.
