The Palazzo Strozzi is yet another impressive palace located in central Florence. Owned until 1937 by the prominent Strozzi family, rivals of the Medicis, the structure is marked by roughly chiseled outer stones and is a free-standing structure with an arcade and a central courtyard. The palace has its own library and reading room.
Today the palazzo is used for exhibitions of all sorts. Most recently the Strozzi hosted exhibits featuring works by Cezanne and an exhibit linking Botticelli’s art to the history of modern banking.
