Cheap hotels near London Bridge in London, United Kingdom
London Bridge crosses the Thames and connects Southwark on the south bank with the City of London, the historic core of greater London on the north bank.
While the current modern London Bridge was built in 1973, there has been a bridge in this location (or nearby) since the Roman occupation 2,000 years ago. Keep in mind, that while this bridge is mentioned in the popular nursery rhyme, it is frequently confused with Tower Bridge, which is located a bit further downstream.
Hotels near London Bridge: Although the distance spanned by the bridge isn’t great, the neighborhoods it connects are quite different. On the northern side, budget hotels can be found in the busy (and somewhat impersonal) City neighborhood around St. Paul’s Cathedral, while hotels south of the river are in the vibrant, less congested Southwark neighborhood.
