Cheap hotels near Gare Montparnasse in Paris, France
Located in Paris’ 14th arrondissement on the Left Bank, the Gare Montparnasse is a modern train station servicing destinations in the west and southwest of France. (See a partial list of destinations served by the Gare Montparnasse.)
Although it opened in 1840, not much of the original station remains today. Instead of a romantic Belle Epoque station, the all-business Gare Montparnasse is tucked under the city’s largest (and many would say “ugliest”) office tower. Throw in a rather depressing indoor mall and you’ve got one sight you should feel free to skip!
Hotels near the Gare Montparnasse: At least the station is quite central. Affordable hotel options can be found just off Boulevard Montparnasse, near the Eiffel Tower, and in the Latin Quarter.
