Situated along a canal in Santa Croce, the Palazzo Mocenigo is a Gothic-style building that today serves as a museum specializing in 18th-century costumes, fashions and fabrics, and also furniture, period-style rooms and paintings.
The Palazzo was donated to the city in 1945 by the Mocenigo family with the idea that it be used as a public gallery. The palace was once home to several prominent members of Venetian society. Fun fact: A whopping seven members of the Mocenigo family were Doges of Venice!
