Cheap hotels near Santa Lucia Station in Venice, Italy
The only railway station serving the municipality of Venice, the Santa Lucia train station is located in Cannaregio near the northwestern end of the Grand Canal. From the station, San Marco-bound pedestrians can either walk through Cannaregio or cross through Santa Croce and San Polo.
During the station’s construction in the 1860s, the nearby church of Santa Lucia was demolished and thus the station took its name. The current terminal is a modern building, marked by the Venetian lion sculptures that decorate its facade.
