Situated just two blocks from the trendy and upscale Bahnhofstrasse on Zurich’s left bank, Pestalozzi Park can provide a welcome respite from shopping and sightseeing.
The park is named after Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi (1746-1827), an educational guru who helped to reform school standards in the United States. He was also well known in Switzerland for preaching that a good education was the right of all people, wealthy or not.
