Cheap hotels near Zurich West in Zurich, Switzerland
The "Zurich West" neighborhood, located on the other side of the train station from the city’s central sights, spent most of the 20th century as a bleakish home to industry and factories.
That’s all changed today. The ‘hood is now considered a hub for "in" restaurants, where gourmands come to feast on innovative cuisine cooked up by some of the city’s top chefs. Zurich West is also filled with hip clothing boutiques and even fashion ateliers.
No surprise, then that this modern and cutting edge quarter also features a bumping nightlife, with clubs popping up all over the the district.
Other points of interest: Prime Tower, the city’s highest building, stands in Zurich West at 413 feet high. It’s an office building, but you can visit the lobby. And don’t miss the Freitag warehouse and flagship store. It’s a series of shipping containers stacked one on top of the other.
