Cheap hotels near Île de la Cité in Paris, France
At the very heart of Paris, rising over the banks of the Seine, you’ll find the picturesque, and quite busy, Île de la Cité, the island that’s home to Notre Dame and many other sights.
Although the island was for centuries mostly residential, today it houses (aside from Notre Dame) the police headquarters, a hospital, Église Sainte-Chapelle and the Conciergerie, where an imprisoned Marie Antoinette spent her last nights.
Behind Notre Dame, the Pont Saint-Louis connects the Île de la Cité to the charming Île St-Louis.
Hotels on Île de la Cité: On the island, we only recommend the Cheapo standby Hotel Henri IV, though more accommodations can be found minutes south in the Latin Quarter, or to the north in the Marais.
