Cheap hotels near Via del Corso in Rome, Italy
Known around town simply as “Corso,” the Via del Corso is one of the most popular streets in central Rome. It’s Rome’s main corridor, lined with historic buildings and Baroque churches, and buzzing with traffic.
It’s nothing new: The street was originally constructed around 200 B.C. in order to help traffic flow from the city center to the Adriatic Sea.
Today it’s worth checking out the ancient column of Marcus Aurelius which still stands in its original location. The northern pedestrian-only section of Via del Corso leads up to the Piazza del Popolo. Head south toward Capitoline Hill.
Hotels near Via del Corso: The area around the Via del Corso is well covered by hotels. For something quaint, head to the Piazza di Spagna. For more options, try the area around the Pantheon-Piazza Navona or the area South of Termini Station.
