Cheap hotels near Herald Square in New York, United States
Poised at the intersection of 34th Street, Broadway and 6th Avenue, Herald Square is a triangular public square in Midtown Manhattan, named for the now-defunct New York Herald newspaper, which had its offices here.
The nation’s attention turns to the square every November when the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is broadcast from the Macy’s flagship store, which sits proudly at 34th and Broadway.
The immediate area is packed with office buildings, restaurants (including many Korean restaurants in nearby “Koreatown”) and many, many shops. The Empire State Building is located one block east at 34th and Fifth Avenue, while Pennsylvania Station is one block to the west.
