Located at the intersection of FIfth Avenue, 23rd Street and Broadway), Madison Square Park serves as a welcome respite from the buzzing city life that surrounds it.
The park opened in 1847 and measures 6.2 acres. Today it offers a few cafés, lunch spots and an ample playground. There’s even a “Shake Shack,” the famed fast food joint created by popular chef Danny Meyer.
Admire the iconic Flatiron building located across the street to the south of the park. Eataly, the Italian food market brainchild of celebrity chef Mario Batali, is located on the Fifth Avenue side of the park.
