Cheap hotels near Piazza Venezia in Rome, Italy
Located at the foot of Palatine Hill and within easy walking distance of the Roman Forum and many other sights, the Piazza Venezia is a bustling public square and traffic artery in central Rome.
The piazza is so-named for the Palazzo Venezia which still stands today at one end of the square. The Palazzo once served as the site of the Venetian embassy.
Also worth a visit is Trajan’s Column, holding center stage here. The 98-foot tall structure commemorates Trajan’s defeat of the Dacia region in 106 AD.
