Cheap hotels near Villa Borghese in Rome, Italy
Once home to a hedonistic cardinal who hosted raucous parties here, today the Villa Borghese serves as the site of the Borghese Galleries. The villa is situated just north of the Piazza di Spagna and the Spanish Steps in a mostly residential neighborhood.
Present villa exhibits range from Bernini sculptures to Caravaggio’s Renaissance paintings. The villa and its galleries are open Tuesday through Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Admission charges apply. See the Villa Borghese's Web site for more details.
Hotels near Villa Borghese: There aren’t many hotel offerings near the gallery proper, but a short walk south into the “North of Termini” area lends a host of options, from hostels to three-star properties.
