Cheap hotels near Rockefeller Center in New York, United States
Built by the Rockefeller family in the 1930s, the Art Deco-style Rockefeller Center is one of Midtown Manhattan’s largest office complexes, encompassing several buildings and shopping arcades.
Aside from being the New York headquarters for the television network NBC, the building is also home to General Electric (GE) and until 2009 hosted the famous Rainbow Room restaurant on its 65th floor. The Center’s ice skating rink, located in the plaza just west of 5th Avenue, is a symbol of New York during the holiday season.
Today you can visit the “Top of the Rock” observation deck for a spectacular view of New York City. For more information, go to Rockefeller Center’s Web site.
