Located near the Plaza Mayor and other main attractions along the Gran Via, the Hostal Hispano-Argentino provides standard rooms with amenities galore for a fair price. The hotel's lobby is packed with Romanesque statues, and the stained-glass-lined corridor leads to a lovely plant-filled terrace that overlooks the Gran Via. Not bad!
The fourteen rooms are cozy but standard hotel fare. Amenities include air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, and satellite TV. The Hispano-Argentino also has a covered terrace where guests can relax and order a drink.
The Hispano Argentino offers a relatively spartan breakfast for €6.50. We recommend skipping this for a cheaper, more satisfying meal at one of the cafes nearby.

About the Hispano Argentino neighborhood
The Gran Vía, Madrid's main boulevard, stretches majestically from the Plaza de España and encompasses the Puerta del Sol. The Gran Vía is like no other avenue in Madrid. It's a truly grand boulevard populated by cinemas, shopping, theaters and impressive art-nouveau buildings. Accommodations here can from for the very pricey (three-, four- and five-star hotels) to the comfortably cheapo (one-star pensions).
