Hotel Tivoli

Oh la la! Walking into the 3-star Hotel Tivoli, we initially thought the place had French décor. But, wait—was that an Egyptian motif? No, our mistake… it's Greek! All decorative confusions aside, we think you'll find the Tivoli to be internationally welcoming, with a wide range of amenities that provide for a comfortable stay.

The hotel

The 31 rooms are done up in shades of blue and gold and furnished with light wooden pieces. Rooms have TV and A/C, and some have trouser presses. The Greek-style scenes painted above the headboards provide the only taste of art. Even rooms facing the street barely get noise from the passing throngs below.

Bathrooms are roomy and sport nice ceramic tiling (and fan-style hair dryers).

The Tivoli's snazzy bar area reminded us of an old English smoking lounge, with a flat-screen TV and a chalkboard listing the day's sporting matches. The breakfast room shares space with the bar and the downstairs fitness room offers a corner to the Internet station.

Located on busy Sokolská Street in Nové Město, the hotel is within short walking distance to Wenceslas Square and the quieter Vinohrady district.

Wired Internet is offered for free in the rooms and breakfast is included in the room rate.
