Hotel The Rookies is located on the touristy Korte Leidsedwarsstraat, just off the even more touristy Leidseplein.
Formerly known as the "Hotel Uptown", The Rookies dishes up 12 prefab rooms. Rooms are well-equipped with amenities, baths are acceptable (some with tubs), and a continental breakfast is served, weather permitting, out back on the peaceful patio garden.
In addition to the name change, the hotel has morphed to include the whole Rookies family of neighboring establishments, including The Rookies restaurant, Rookies bar, and Rookies coffeeshop.

About the Hotel The Rookies neighborhood
The most elegant area within the city center, Grachtengordel South features opulent residences, mansion-lined streets, and a hot nightlife scene. The area boasts both Rembrandtplein (the city's one-time butter market) and Leidseplein (a former horse and buggy drop-off point). Both squares have been reborn as hot spots for bars, clubs, restaurants, and no small number of tourist traps.
