The Floris Louise Hotel sits at the intersection of the famous and lively Avenue Louise and offers 29 rooms packed with amenities. This 4-star chain hotel is housed in a smart, three-floor limestone building. But, don't let the stars get in your eyes. Cheapo prices are available—especially if you book the more basic, unrenovated rooms in advance.
Many double rooms are done up in regal gold, red and blue stripes and come with king-sized beds and plenty of lamps. Every room is equipped with a minibar and a personal safe. Bathrooms have peach-colored tiles and bathtubs. Breakfast is served in a bright, cheerful room downstairs.
Louise feels a bit off the beaten path, but is a fantastic option for business travelers (The hotel offers deluxe rooms and business suites.) and those seeking boutique shopping or proximity to Sablon, the Brussels art district.
Note: The Floris Louise is one of four hotels in the Floris chain in Brussels. If it's booked, other hotels may be available. About the Floris Louise neighborhood
The area of Ixelles is divided by the "Rodeo Drive" of Brussels, the lovely Avenue Louise. The avenue is packed with designer shops and boutiques, some art galleries, and many restaurants. The hotels and B&B's around the area are smaller, mostly family-run properties. Some offer more personalized service than the budget hotels and chain properties near the Grand Place. During the day, Ixelles is abuzz with traffic and trams running up and down Avenue Louise, and all the shops are open for business. The area becomes much quieter at night.
